The Latter Library Garden Conservancy
The mission of The Latter Library Garden Conservancy is to restore and maintain the grounds of the historic
city-owned Milton H. Latter Library. The renovated gardens are used by the community for reading and study, small group meetings, children’s art and education activities, neighborhood events, and special citywide events such as movies in the garden. Designed by landscape
architects Marianne and Alan Mumford, the project has the enthusiastic endorsement of the New Orleans Public Library Board and New Orleans Parks and Parkways.
